Drop in Thorns

A water drop caught in middle of barbed wire mesh. The droplet beautifully captures the reflection of the wires around it. So contrasting is nature that it has brought together two ends, a hard metal and a tiny innocent pure and clear water drop. They portray in harmony a fabulous texture. This was shot in one of the hotels in Mcleodganj, Himachal Pradesh in 2009.

In Clouds

At Sir George Everest House - The small column of Stones are being placed by Buddhist near their prayer place or at places where they lay their dead to rest in peace. In the background is the ruins of the "Sir George Everest House" that belonged to Sir George Everest, one of the Surveyor Generals of India who established the various survey points. He was the one who surveyed the Mount Everest, and hence the mountain is named after him. This house, now in ruins, is situated at a 9 km  trek from Mussoorie towards west via Lal Kuan. Its on a hill top on a flat table land, with a immediate valley drop behind the backyard of house. The front has two beautiful hills on either of the house. The place is now a prayer spot for Buddhists.  A place for scenic beauty and  peaceful environment is must visit for all who love trek, peace, solace and natural beauty.

A Misty Reflection - Mystery of Reflection

The Lonely - All alone in the misty morning, scared by its own reflection. The morning mist makes it just worse and leaves it cold. But still stays a poet's paradise.
Lonely in the Lake,
Fear of the very fear,
With no signs of Autumn Flake,
I wish... you were here.

Colours

A pantone of colours - as seen from inside of this beautiful umbrella. Shot in Mc leodganj, Himachal Pradesh.

RELIGION

FAITH
As pure as the religion itself and guided by its philosophies, a Buddhist monk is moving his sacred prayer wheel.

The Village

MISTY MORNING
Shot in a remote Indian Vilage on a sunday morning ar around 6:00 am. This is early morning view of  fog filled air. A tree stands all cold and frozen in the surrounding fog and the mist.

COBWEB LIGHTS
The beautiful spider cobweb enriched with the morning dew and garlanded with the fine droplets of dew were captured before the sun could come up and steal away them back to the air. It looks as if thousands of tiny lights have been hung between tree branches.

THE FARMER CYCLIST
Taken in early morning 6 'o clock. This farmer is off to the nearby market to sell his grains....the foggy atmosphere and the coconut palms form a beautiful backdrop.

THE CORN FIELD
The most beautiful Corn Fields. One of the rare sights that we usually see from a distance, either when traveling in a bus, car or by train. But this is what it looks when I got really close to it. I shot it just after I took the above picture of the cyclist. Its amazing to roam in open fields , and that too early in a winter morning. I just got carried away by the scenic beauty of these fields. It reminded me of one of the scenes of the movie "Gladiator", wherein Russel Crowe returns home and the camera shows him moving into corn fields.

 VILLAGE AT NIGHT
As the dusk wraps up and unfolds the beauty of the village at night, various hues, colours and earthy shades with warm and neutral tones create a beautiful aura. The magic is felt in way how each tone reflect the natural and the artificial light. The deep blues sky sets the perfect background.
